FMSA Monthly Lecture Series (15th August 2009)

During the golden age of knowledge, the seeking and imparting of knowledge was done in the spirit of truth, wisdom, sincerity and humility. Today, many learning institutions are corporate ‘giants’ treating their students as clients. Education and knowledge has been ‘short-changed’ into a commodity to be traded.

The social structural impact on our children, the family unit, community and the human civilization needs to be understood in light of our moral degradation, spiritual indulgences and human transgresses that make our confused world today.

How should knowledge be treated from the Islamic socio-historical perspective?

Educationist, teachers, parents and students are invited to this discourse to understand and discover the truth and uncover the half truth about the foundation of our education system.

Presenter :

Ust Asmadi Ahmad, an educationist specialising in Curriculum and Instructional Design with a 7-year experience as a principal, operator and owner of Islamic education institutions, pioneering in Integrated Islamic education.

An Invitation for Those striving in His Cause...

Because even the best of us needs Reminders...
Because even the strongest of us is weak...
Because even the most of us feels alone in our journeys Home to Him...

A call for us to come together...
to be reminded of Islam...
to recall the true purpose of our existence...
to strengthen our identity and bonds...
to rejuvenate before we take on The World again.

"Verily, Ya Allah, You know
these hearts have come together
gathered under the shade of Your Love
having met in obedience
allied in strive
to uphold Your Decree in Life...

Strengthen the bonds
Preserve the love
Guide to the paths
that is inextinguishable
Illuminate with Your Light

O Lord...guide us

Relieve our breasts
With the gift of Faith
and the beauty of Trust in You
Let us live in Your Knowledge
and die matyrs in Your Path

You are the Best Protector and Defender "
